A number of companies are in the preclinical phase of exosome

therapy research.

 In Korea, Ilias and ExoCoBio are developing exosome therapeutics.

Ilias – founded by faculty from the Korean Advance Institute of

Science and Technology – specialises in loading large protein

therapeutics into exosomes.

 It is currently carrying out preclinical research toward treating

sepsis, preterm labour and Gaucher’s disease. ExoCoBio is focusing

on the native regenerative capacity of exosomes derived from

mesenchymal stem cells, including to treat atopic dermatitis.
